This is my list of health conscious products I use or have used day to day to live as natural as possible in the possessions I own in modern life.
I’ll Start Off All Things Barefoot Shoe Related
My Personal criteria for a shoe from a health and style perspective is as follows:
- Wide Toe Box
- Zero Drop
- Natural Materials
- Classic / Fashionable
The Vivobarefoot Mens Geo courts III Leather Trainers fits the bill perfectly. Besides the rubber sole and insole, the shoes are made of natural hide leather and cotton laces. Which makes the shoe not only more eco friendly and durable but also cuts down the smell to basically zero, and this goes for someone who has very sweaty feet, TMI I know haha. The Geo courts also echoes off the classic look of the Stan Smiths which I used wear before I got into natural barefoot footwear. The style makes these shoes excellent for basically any occasion which makes it very universal and convenient for someone who enjoys a minimalist approach to footwear.
Personally I have worn these exact shoes for over a year now with little to no wear on the bottom tread or leather upper sole just some minor scratches. The white color way proves itself well by hiding the appearance of dirt and stains. In the picture above I haven’t washed or cleaned them since I got them and they are relatively still clean and white for a shoe that has a year of use.

If your someone who likes to keep different shoes for work or you have to have all black shoes I usually opt to go for a cheaper second pair of barefoot shoes like the HOBIBEAR Unisex Barefoot Shoes for Mens Womens Zero Drop Shoes Sneakers that I generally don’t care about. To keep it looking classy I cut off the ugly HOBIBEAR tag on the side and removed the insoles for a more barefoot feel.
Eye Wear for Optimizing your Circadian Rhythm & Health
When the sun goes down in an ideal world we would all go to sleep just like how our ancestors did for millennial. But in our Modern, artificial lit world, we as a society we stay up later and later, disrupting our natural biological clock. So as a way to combat this one key pillar of our biology and health is to control and stay aware of our light environment. Spending as much time outside as possible, avoiding artificial LED light and Instead opting for fluorescent or candles or red light especially at night. But that’s a hassle to keep and maintain in modern life trying to avoid everything that’s so normal, so the solution I tend to go for is wear glasses that optimize my circadian biology.
